DJ CAMPBELL has returned to training with Blackburn Rovers after his arrest and subsequent bail by police probing spot-fixing allegations in football matches.

Rovers announced last Thursday that the striker had ‘been given time off to spend with his family’, meaning he missed Saturday’s 3-2 home win over Millwall.

But Gary Bowyer confirmed this afternoon that Campbell resumed training at Brockhall on Tuesday and will be considered for selection for this Saturday’s trip to Yeovil Town.

Rovers boss Bowyer said: “He’s trained with us Tuesday and today and he’s a normal squad player now so he’s available for selection.

“We just have to keep monitoring how he is.”

Asked if he would have any problems selecting Campbell, Bowyer said: “No. We’ll just judge him as every other player.”

Bowyer also revealed that Lee Williamson will be fit for the Yeovil clash.

The midfielder missed the victory over Millwall with a foot injury.

Corry Evans, meanwhile, has started running again after two months on the sidelines with ankle-ligament damage.

Bowyer said: “We hope to get him back and reintroduce him soon.”
