BLACKBURN Rovers' five-match unbeaten run came to an end after a pulsating clash against Brentford at Ewood Park.

Rudy Gestede put Rovers into an early lead when he finished superbly from a Ben Marshall free-kick but the away side levelled when Chris Long's shot was deflected past a helpless Jason Steele.

Gary Bowyer's men took the lead again just before half-time, though, when Jordan Rhodes found Chris Taylor who fired in expertly.

Rovers made a strong start to the second half but again the away side struck back when Jota ran 60 yards to fire low past Steele.

And the comeback was complete in fortuitous style when Jota's shot was saved onto substitute Andre Gray with the ball trickling into the net.

Rovers now sit 11 points off the play-offs with Brighton & Hove Albion the visitors on Saturday.
