IT will be a tough game at Wolves tomorrow, make no mistake about that.

They are on a roll after winning promotion and I think they’ll be in the mix for a play-off place come the end of the season.

But, even though they have got a very good home record, I don’t see any reason why Blackburn cannot go there and give themselves a good of chance of winning – as they’re proving, once again, they can score goals against any side in this division.

But what is worrying me is the amount of goals they are conceding late on in games.

I said it in last week’s column after what happened at Norwich and, lo and behold, the same happened against Bournemouth and could have ended up costing us a very good victory.

We need to concentrate for the full 90 minutes.

I don’t think it’s a fitness thing, I think it’s a mentality thing.

When you are 3-0 up you’ve got to be careful, of course, but you’ve also got to have the mentality that you want to score more goals.

I certainly thought Blackburn would do that after going in 3-0 in at half-time on Saturday.

But despite the late scare, it was still three points to continue what I think has been a good start to the season.

We ended last season brilliantly and to pick up seven points from the first four games is not a bad return at all.

Hopefully we’ll pick up more tomorrow and it’s good to know that Jordan Rhodes’ immediate future has been sorted.

It looks like he is staying and I am really pleased about that – not just for Blackburn but for Jordan too because I think it will be better for him to stay another season in the Championship, and score a load more goals, than go to the Premier League and possibly not play every week.

I’d say to him, ‘give us another season, keep learning your trade’, and then you make that move to the Premier League.

And hopefully it will be with Blackburn.
