Padiham returned from St Helens Town with a point despite playing most of the game with 10 men.
Keeper Sean Davis was sent off after 13 minutes for dissent and it got even worse for the Storks when Steven O’Brien put the Saints 1-0 up after 55 minutes.
But substitute Lee Morris came to Padiham’s rescue with a well-taken equaliser on 70 minute after good work from Chris Ridehalgh.
