BAMBER Bridge gained revenge for Padiham’s 6-1 Evo-Stik League First Division North win over them at The Arbories ealier in the season with a resounding 5-1 win over the Storks on Saturday at Irongate.
Goals by Curtis Thompson (31) and Tom Williams (44) game the home side a 2-0 half-time lead.
This became 3-0 when Alistair Waddecar put Bamber Bridge 3-0 ahead four minues after the re-start, The Storks got a foothold in the game when Louis Mayers reduced the defecit on 66 minutes but goals by Zach Clarke (80) and a penalty from Waddecar on 81 minutes completed a 5-1 victory for the hosts.
To add to Padiham's worries they lost skipper Martin Parkes with a bad injury midway through the first half and he faces a race against time to be fit for next Saturday's home clash with Warrington Town.
