IN-form Padiham recorded an excellent result when they claimed a 2-2 draw at Evo-Stik League First Division North leaders Curzon Ashton.
The Storks, on their first trip to the Tameside Stadium, were very much second favourites against a side who had won all six home games prior to Monday and they were up against it from the off when Jonathan Hunt put the home side ahead inside a minute.
But Ben Allen converted a Tom Bradley cross to restore parity on 27 minutes.
However, Curzon went ahead again just before the break through Matty Warburton and were confident of kicking on.
But the Storks remained in what was an excellent game and drew level for a second time when Dominic Craig converted after Martin Parked flicked on a corner.
And they could have won it at the end but a late chance went begging.
