CHORLEY’s top-of-the-table Evo-Stik League Premier Division clash with Hednesford Town at Victory Park tomorrow has been designated ‘Derian Day 2’.
This season the Magpies are supporting Derian House Children’s Hospice and they are planning a series of fundraising activities at tomorrow’s game to help raise much needed funds for the charity.
Fans can have their picture taken with the Lancashire Challenge Trophy, which the Magpies won for the first time in 29 years recently, in exchange for a donation to Derian House.
The club has also given away 500 free tickets to local schools in the Chorley area to help boost the family atmosphere at the game.
Manager Garry Flitcroft said: “This is the second time we’ve staged a Derian Day this season and we are keen to help the hospice in any way we can.”
In the First Division North new Clitheroe management duo Lee Sculpher and Dave Burgess take their side on a Mersey mission to Prescot Cables, while Ramsbottom United take a break from their promotion bid as they host Norton United in the North West Counties League Challenge Cup quarter-final.
Barnoldswick Town are hoping to maintain their promotion push with a Premier Division trip to Congleton, while Bacup entertain Runcorn Linnets and Colne welcome Stone to the XLCR Stadium.
Padiham are at home to St Helens, while in the First Division Nelson go to Leek CSOB and Darwen head to Irlam.
