NELSON boss Mark Fell has been awarded the North West Counties League Division One manager of the month award for November after leading the Admirals to six straight wins.

Nelson plundered 22 goals in their six wins, which included a memorable success over Evo-Stik League First Division North outfit Lancaster City in the United Co-Operatives Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy.

They also made progress in the NWCFL Division One Cup.

Fell will be presented with his award at an upcoming home game by the league.

Meanwhile, Nelson development squad have appointed Ben Seymour as assistant coach to Sam Heap.

Seymour arrives at Victoria Park with a wealth of local non-league football knowledge and has played in the North West Counties League, the West Lancashire League and the East Lancashire League.

Heap said: “I’ve known Ben for several years now and am delighted he’s come onboard at Nelson FC.

“We share many the same philosophy on football and are both keen on developing local young footballers.

“I know Ben will be an asset to the squad and hope everyone at Nelson FC makes him feel welcome.”
