COLNE’S early season form appears to have gone AWOL after they slipped to a third successive defeat.

Goals each side of half time by Michael Koral and Scott Sephton set up victory for Town who made sure of the points thanks to Andrew Brown’s strike on the hour.

Ashley Carter pulled one back for Nigel Coates’ side but his 87th minute goal was no more than a consolation.

The Reds have yet to win a game in September having finished August with a flurry of three straight victories.

After losing 1-0 at Maine Road last week, Colne slipped to a 2-1 defeat to local rivals Barnoldswick Town.

And they completed an unwanted hat-trick at the weekend losing at Congleton.

Despite defeat Colne remain in seventh place in NWCL Premier Division.
