Colne extended their unbeaten run to 10 games after a hard fought draw with Norton United. The rock hard bumpy pitch and a swirling wind were not the conditions which were conducive to good football but both teams adapted well to serve up an entertaining contest.

Both sides created chances in the opening exchanges with Dominic Craig and Jason Hart both going close before the visitors took the lead in the 20th minute.

A Tom Fowler header from a corner was only partially cleared and Ed Williams sent in a cross that Kristian Evans nodded home in the 20th minute.

Lee Barrett and Craig again both went close as Colne went in search of a second goal.

Colne made a reasonable start to the second half. Hart again proving to be a threat while a long range effort from Williams clipped the crossbar.

But Norton realised that they were in with a shout and began to increase in confidence. And it was no great surprise when they drew level on 57 minutes when Norton captain Richard Smith could not believe his luck when a wayward header by a team-mate landed at his feet and he volleyed home into the roof of the net.
