TODAY'S non-league programme has been wrecked by the freezing temperatures with all the area's games being hit.

The big Evo-Stik League Premier Division clash between high-flyers Chorley and Chester FC - which was due to kick-off at 1pm in front of an all-ticket crowd - was called off following a 9am inspection of the Victory Park pitch.

And an hour later Clitheroe's Evo-Stik League First Division North trip to Salford City went the way of the bulk of games and was called off.

The North West Counties League programme was hit hard on Friday night with leaders Ramsbottom United having their clash with Congleton Town at The Riverside Stadium called off last night.

Fellow promotion rivals Barnoldswick Town also had their game with Glossop North End was also put on ice last night because of a frozen surface at the Silentnight Stadium.

Bacup's home game with Winsford was also called off on Friday, while Padiham's trip to Stone Dominoes and Colne's game at St Helens Town also went this morning.
