RED-hot Ramsbottom United will be looking to build on their stunning FA Trophy victory against Worksop last weekend when they return to league duty tomorrow.

The Rams travel to Harrogate Railway Athletic in Evo-Stik First Division North looking to extend their five-match winning run – including that 7-2 triumph over Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit Worksop.

Despite the winning run, Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley’s side remain in 16th place as three of those victories have come in cup competitions.

And they will have to be wary of Railway’s dangerous strikeforce as Paul Beesley and Nathan Cartman have plundered 13 goals between them this season.

Clitheroe who enjoyed a 2-0 win against Northwich on Tuesday – the first under new manager Simon Garner – travel to New Mills.

Padiham have a tough test when they entertain promotion-chasing Kendal Town who will now be concentrating on the league having been knocked out of the FA Trophy by AFC Fylde in Tuesday’s replay.

The Storks have won two of the last five league and cup outings but, worryingly, have shipped 20 goals.

In the Premier Division, former Preston North End striker Brandon Zibaka is in line to make his debut for Chorley in their trip to Worksop Town.

The young striker will give Garry Flitcroft an attacking option with Tom Baker injured and Dale Whitham’s impending suspension.

In the North West Counties League, it is the League Cup Challenge second round.

First Division AFC Darwen will be looking to get the better of Premier Division Colne in an all-East Lancs tie at the Anchor Ground.

Bacup and Rossendale Borough, currently struggling in the Premier Division, have a difficult trip to Atherton Colleries who are riding high in Division One. Barnoldswick Town travel to Runcorn Linnets.

And in Division One, third-placed Nelson face second in the table Hanley Town.
