RAMSBOTTOM United have put plans in place to start selling play-off semi final tickets on Sunday if they seal their place in the Evo-Stik First Division North’s top five tomorrow.

Ramsbottom need only a point from their final game of the regular season to confirm a play-off place. They currently sit fifth in the table and their last match is at home to fourth-placed Bamber Bridge, who they could leapfrog in the table with victory.

Defeat, however, could allow Lancaster City to push them out of the play-off places.

If they finish fourth Ramsbottom would travel to Warrington Town in the play-off semi finals on Tuesday.

If they finish fifth they would make the trip to Darlington on Wednesday, in an all-ticket fixture on police advice.

Ramsbottom would put tickets on sale on Sunday at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.

Clitheroe, 16th in First Division North, have already finished their season and Padiham, 19th, end at Ossett Albion tomorrow.

In the North West Counties Premier Division, Bacup and Rossendale Borough go into their final game still in danger of relegation after a 1-1 draw at Colne on Wednesday. Adrian Bellamy’s goal cancelled out Jason Hart’s opener for the hosts.

Borough travel to Abbey Hey tomorrow and will stay up providing they match the result of either Alsager Town or Squires Gate.

Colne, ninth, finish their season at Runcorn Town and Barnoldswick Town, 16th, are at home to Runcorn Linnets after a 2-1 home loss to Ashton Athletic on Wednesday night. Matthew McNamara scored their goal.

First Division champions Nelson ended their season last night and AFC Darwen, 10th, host Ashton Town tomorrow.
