AFC DARWEN battled back from two goals down to earn a point for the second time in a matter of days.

Having fought back to draw with Formby in midweek, Darwen repeated the feat to take a share of the spoils at Rochdale.

With manager Kenny Langford absent due to illness, his assistant Nick Lloyd took charge of proceedings.

And he saw his side under pressure in the early exchanges, former Bacup striker Chris Ogunyode skimming the bar with a drive from 20 yards out.

James Greenhalgh gave Dale a deserved 15th minute lead and added a second through Michael Harling against the run of play.

Darwen continued to press forward and were rewarded with a goal when Ryan Steele fired home from outside the area.

And they levelled with two minutes remaining when Steele fed Steve Lee who drilled his shot against the Rochdale keeper.
