Darwen claimed a win at Chadderton thanks to a fine second half display on a difficult pitch.

Salmoners keeper Adam Chester made a string of saves to keep it level but was finally beaten on 58 minutes by Paul Socha.

However, they drew level through Thomas Entwhistle and won the game thanks to John Leeming’s goal.
