A WOMEN'S football team that hasn't won a game all season got a welcome boost from one of England's finest.

Burnley-born England women's goalkeeper Rachel Brown went to Barden Sports Hall, Barden Lane, to speak to members of Borrowdale United's under-15s team.

The youngsters play in the North Valley Youth League and coach Andy Brown said he'd organised the event as a morale boost.

He said: "I wrote to Rachel and she came and spent an hour with the girls.

"She helped the goalkeeper with a bit of coaching and the girls asked her questions. We want people to get involved with women's football."

If you want to join the team for next season, ring Andy Brown on 07843 837511.
