Nelson were keen to maintain this seasons unbeaten record and more importantly continue with their early season form as they welcomed Oswaldtwistle.

It didn't take them long to show that good form when after five minutes, when from a corner on the right Sam Holding laid the ball back for Alan Taylor to strike it home Nelson had the lead at 1 - 0.

Farrenden-Sharpe hit the post only moments later but when the ball went out to Brooke on the right his first time cross was met by Jordan Moore who headed home to make it 2 - 0.

Tom Collins got on the score sheet when from just inside the Ossy half he hit a lofted ball forward the keeper mis judged the bounce and the ball hit the back of the net making it 3 - 0.

Arron Whalley added to the score with a good finish from a cross from the right 4 - 0.

Nelson were awarded a penalty when Brooke was brought down by the keeper and Ryan Whitaker buried the spot kick 5 - 0.

Central defender Sam Holding made a rare appearance on the score sheet when he picked the ball up on the half way line saw that the keeper was off his line and hit a high, long ball over the keeper to take the Blues into the break with a 6 - 0 score line.

Nelson started the second half slowly and were made to pay as the visitors got one back. The blues had taken their foot off the pedal as far as the goals were concerned but they maintained control of the game and the second half could be summarised as the half of missed chances however Farrenden-Sharpe remained focused and blocked a goal kick and finished his own work with a good strike, making it 7-1 and that's how it finished.

A good all round performance by the blues.
