Rishton Under 11's bounced back from a midweek defeat with an excellent 6-0 victory at home to Whalley.

Rishton took the lead in the 2nd minute when Charlie Feeney scored from close range after a throw in by Harry Higham.

This settled the team down and Connor McNab who was also playing up front had a superb shot just passed the post in the 4th minute.

Keiran Higham, who won Man of the Match, was now totally dictating midfield and headed the second goal in after a corner by Brad Morris.

In the 9th minite Keiran had a shot which was saved by the keeper but it came out to Charlie Feeney who hit the rebound obver the bar.

Rishton were totally dominant and deservedly went three up when Harry Higham scored his first goal of the season from outside the goal area.

In the second half Billy Hargreaves, Ryan Cothliff and Jack Wolstenholme were introduced to the team and started where they left off.

Billy Hargreaves fired in a shot in the 2nd minuite which the keeper did well to parry round the post.

Rishton now had so much possession but they could not increase their lead until the 6th minute when Brad Morris finished superbly after a fine run from midfield.

Sean Kelly who normally plays in goal went up front for the last 10 minuites and immediately began to make his presence felt.

Rishton went 5 up when Kelly and Hargreaves worked a fine 1-2 with each other before Hargreaves crossed in to the box for Cothliff to give the keeper no chance.

Ryan scored the last goal after fine work by Kelly to put him through and once again the keeper could not stop the rocket shot.

A fine performance by the boys who will face a much tougher task next Saturday when they will be away to Barrowford Celtic.
