RAMSBOTTOM United can hit the top of the North West Counties League this afternoon after their Premier Division game with AFC Liverpool got the go-ahead.

The Rams will hit the summit if they win after leaders Bootle had their game at Colne postponed.

Rammy's match was in doubt after freezing overnight temperatures on top of heavy rain, but the Riverside Stadium pitch passed an inspection at 10.45am and the game goes ahead at 3pm.

There is also good news for Padiham as their game with Ashton Athoetic at The Arbories also goes ahead at 3pm.
