HAVING scored five times on their last outing against Cammell Laird, Clitheroe had to be content with a 0-0 stalemate at Mossley.
The Blues gave a debut to Matty Fearon at full back, with Chris Smalley switching to the middle of defence.
But all eyes were on captain and leading scorer Ashley Parillon who had scored four times in his last two games – including a hat-trick in that 5-1 victory over Cammell Laird.
But it was an afternoon where defenders came out on top and Clitheroe had to settle for a point to remain in 16th place in Evo-Stik League First Division North.
