Clitheroe 2 Cammel Laird 2

A DRAMATIC final 15 minutes at Shawbridge saw the lead change hands twice before Cammel Laird grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to deny Clitheroe victory.

The Birkenhead outfit had led at half time courtesy of Jamie Henders’ 37th minute penalty.

The Blues, who had won just three of their previous 10 games, appeared to be heading for more disappointment before two goals in six minutes turned the game on its head.

First James Walker scored a 76th minute equaliser before Daniel Walker put Clitheroe ahead with just seven minutes remaining.

Simon Garner’s side were on course for a welcome victory until James Foley grabbed a last minute equaliser for Cammel Laird.
