CLITHEROE’S play-off hopes were dented as their losing sequence at Farsley Celtic continued.

The Blues have never picked up a point at the West Yorkshire outfit but that run looked like it might be over after George Conway gave the visitors a 24th minute lead.

James Walker and the overlapping Darren Thornton combined down the flank before Conway controlled and fired home from the resulting cross.

But Farsley were on level terms on the half hour mark thanks to a clinical finish from Aiden Savory.

The home side upped the pressure after the break but the Blues kept Celtic at bay until the 65th minute when Adam Priestley fired home a loose ball.

Savory scored his second six minutes later before Danny Hull make it 4-1.
