CLITHEROE overcame a poor first-half performance to dramatically come from 2-0 down and claim a late victory at Burscough in Evo-Stik First Division North.
Clitheroe were well off the pace before the interval and Burscough were 2-0 ahead after only 15 minutes through John Connolly and Mark Beesley.
Josh Ollerenshaw then had to make a fine save to prevent Burscough adding a third goal, but Clitheroe were a different team after half time.
The hosts were reduced to 10 men on the hour mark but it was not until the 74th minute when Clitheroe pulled a goal back, as Daniel Smith scored with a smart 25-yard free kick.
Scott Bakkor headed home an equaliser with only four minutes left but there was still time for a winner as Smith played in half-time substitute Lloyd Dean, who calmly converted.
