CLITHEROE secured a fine victory over Prescot Cables in Evo-Stik First Division North on Saturday.

Scott Bakkor headed against the bar in the opening stages for Clitheroe before former Blue Isaac Kusaloka did the same for the visitors.

Lloyd Dean put Clitheroe ahead in the 11th minute and the same man doubled the lead with a fearsome 25-yard effort on the half hour mark.

Bakkor hit the bar once more 10 minutes into the second half before setting up Andy Griffiths to stab home and make it 3-0 in the 61st minute.

Prescot pulled a goal back with seven minutes left when on-loan Accrington Stanley keeper Andrew Dawber saved the initial penalty but Connor McCarthy scored the rebound.
