A YOUTHFUL Chorley side crashed out of the Evo-Stik League Doodson Sport Cup at the last-16 stage last night as they went down 4-1 at home to Premier Division rivals Albion.
With eight members of Garry Flitcroft’s starting line-up having amassed just 16 starts between them this season, it was apparent that the Magpies manager’s focus was firmly on Saturday’s massive FA Trophy tie at Tamworth.
And struggling Witton took full advantage to run out comfortable winners with a brace of goals from Joshua Hancock and one each for former Chorley duo Ali Brown and Chris Simm.
Darren Stephenson reduced the arrears for the under-strength Magpies.
