STEVEN Defour is Burnley's star player, according to player ratings for the new FIFA 2017 video game.

Captain and goalkeeper Tom Heaton is a close second for the latest version of the game, which will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android, iOS, Microsoft Windows from September 29.

FIFA database site FUTHead has updated rankings for the Clarets squad and here, we bring you the top five players.

All ratings are out of 100 and, for comparison's sake, Cristiano Ronaldo is given a 94 overall rating.

1. Steven Defour

Experienced Clarets midfielder Steven Defour tops the charts at Turf Moor - rated at 79.

Defour has a 77 for passing and 76 for dribbling. Jeff Hendrick is rated quite highly (72), with Scott Arfield also given a 72.

2. Tom Heaton

The Burnley keeper is rated a strong 76, just behind star man Defour.

His handling stats are an impressive 75, which match his diving stats.

The Clarets skipper rates 76 for positioning and 78 for reflexes.

3. Andre Gray

Burnley front man Andre Gray is rated at 75 with stats of 91 for pace and 74 for shooting.

Fellow forwards Sam Vokes (73) and Ashley Barnes (71) make up a decent strikeforce.

4. Michael Keane

Lancashire Telegraph:

Michael Keane has impressive stats for the new FIFA 2017.

Rated at 75, he has been given 76 for defending and 75 for physicality.

Fellow defenders Ben Mee, Jon Flanagan, Stephen Ward, James Tarkowski and Tendayi Darikwa are all rated in the seventies.

5. Matt Lowton

Lancashire Telegraph:

Full-back Lowton rounds off the top five.

The former Aston Villa man rates 76 for pace, 75 for physicality and 72 for defending.
