Clarets boss Howe prepared to bolster his Turf Moor squad by borrowing stars

BURNLEY will again look to take advantage of the loan market this season, after bolstering their squad with temporary signings last term.
And the Clarets have first option on Bolton Wanderers striker Tom Eaves should Owen Coyle wish to allow the young striker to take time out from the Reebok in the last year of his current contract.
The agreement was set up as part of the joint £3million deal which took Chris Eagles and Tyrone Mears to Bolton last summer, after Burnley lost out to Bolton Wanderers two years ago.
The Clarets were looking to sign the former Crewe hotshot from Oldham Athletic, but Coyle was alerted to Eaves after he scored a hat-trick against his side in a pre-season friendly at Boundary Park in July 2010, and signed the then teenager on a three-year deal for £250,000.
After a steady year in the reserves Eaves was expected to try to break into the squad in his second season, and impressed when the players returned for pre-season training last summer.
But a knee injury sustained on their tour of America held him back, and he has yet to make a senior appearance for Bolton, who have added Marvin Sordell and David Ngog to their attacking ranks in the previous two transfer windows, while retaining Kevin Davies on a one-year contract extension.
Eaves is one of a number of options the Clarets could look to explore to add to their squad this summer, with Wanderers likely to loan the 20-year-old out despite preparing for life in the Championship.
The Clarets strengthened numbers at key times last season, with Sam Vokes arriving from Wolves for a two-month spell from November, before Josh McQuoid completed a 93-day deal from Millwall in January.
Ben Mee and had initially joined on loan from Manchester City before the season got underway, with right back Kieran Trippier following after Tyrone Mears was sold to Bolton.
The defensive duo went on to make their Turf Moor moves permanent in January, as Burnley came under threat from rival clubs who had been impressed by the pair’s performances in the first half of the season.
Howe has been looking into the possibility of a full-time return for Vokes, although a change in management at Molineux is one of a number of factors that could hinder any attempt to secure the targetman on a permanent deal.
The Clarets have also so far been unsuccessful in their attempts to sign central defender Jason Shackell from Derby County.
Right back Luke O’Neill is the only new addition to date.
The 20-year-old signed a two-year deal from Mansfield, for a fee that could rise to £100,000, not £200,000 as initially reported.

Countdown to a new season same old story coming out of Turf Moor despite having two new chairmen. It is quite evident that Eddie Howe is not going to have much of the Jay Rodreguiz money at his disposal but did we really believe that he would have knowing the record of our past " I did not bet the ranch chairman " and currant board. Regarding the "sale on season tickets" over the next two weeks. Do the brains at our football club really think that knocking £50 pound off a season ticket that would normally cost £550 to watch football at Turf Moor will entice more supporters to buy a season ticket over the next two weeks. No way, especially after the sale of Jay Rodreguiz and now the talk of loan players coming in who we have never heard of. Once again the football club are nailing their ambitions well and truly to the mast prior to a new season starting and the fans will respond in the only way they know how to by voting with their feet. If Eddie Howe did not know that he was fighting a losing battle with this board he will do now. Who's next for the exit door? Trippier, Austin and maybe Marney. Preston did something similar to what is going on at Turf Moor and look where they have ended up. If somebody is considering buying Watford surely there must be people out there who would be willing to buy the Clarets. 4 million of a black hole. How much of one this time next season.
Do you see any actual quotes on the article from EH or from the board confirming this?
No? It is just lazy journalism - Burnley may take advantage of the loan market this summer?? Big surprise, but don't let that stop you having another of your ill-informed rants against the BFC board
You truly are a boring feckwit

Also makes more sense considering they have re-instated the number of subs on the bench. All fits in with with building for the future. Before any Woeful come back (as in the multi-faceted one above) at least BFC have a future unlike the Chicken Shack

Also hope that we have at least for now sold all that we are going to sell e.g. O'Neill is not a replacement for Trippier.

The joker who posts as "claret me and you is actually non othe than the multifaceted shcitziod formerly known as "Tetleydrinker"
He's the guy who Fellow Claret "nottetleydrinker" named himself after.
He used to come on the burnley stories and lord it over us about B******ds superiority.
He also used to go on non football topics and slag the town, the people and anything to do with Burnley.
He popped up on some real happy, totally non-football, stories and soiled them with weird remarks.
As "tetley drinker" he was banned and tried a series of names before settling on Keep Darwen Green.
Yesterday he posted on the story headed - "Burnley poised to start bidding for Leeds midfielder Clayton" as "Claret me and you" and as usual made negative remarks pretending to be a claret and, as usual a nasty side-swipe at Barry Kilby.
I pointed out what the crack was to another poster who was falling for the bait and then when you read the posts further down you can see he forgets to log out as one of his names and starts to ramble as another person.
Ignore this clown who pretends to one of us and just wants to sh1t stir and whenever possible make snidey remarks about Mr, Kilby and Burnley's finances.
Coming from a B******d fan with all their woes you'd think he'd keep his head down but, given his use of many names and personas and the weird obsession with ALL THINGS Burnley I reckon he's best left alone and well and truly ignored.
NO NAY NEVER

Burnley do well too cope being a small club with little attendances due to small support. The money they got for JR will help pay off the large debts, They will always end up getting every other clubs rejects due to lack of funds and poor wages. It will be a huge achievement to stay up this season with their small squad and no strikers.
Now where do we start at trampwood avenue hahahahahahahaha i can't be @rsed trying to explain to a retarded thicko git like you and ya boyfriends you must try and work it out your self.
Maybe your a claret fan but finding it hard coming out of the closet ;-)

My boyfriend may be a burnley fan and thanks to him the clarets get big gate averages of 7000 which is good for a small debt ridden club. He says burnley are favourites for relegation this year but he will still have a GANDER at the turd moor.

Never heard of one of those. Are they from the same genus as the Rhinoxtapig, or the famous Kangorillapig, much spoken of in military circles?
(My old drill sergeant used to use such terms).

Yep, exactly the same - it is basically a slang word for a very ugly person - someone who's face looks like it has been set on fire and then put out with a baseball bat - you know the kind!
