FULL TIME: Doncaster Rovers 1 Burnley 2

First published in News

CHARLIE Austin's 75th-minute penalty gave Burnley victory at Championship bottom club Doncaster Rovers and ensured that the Clarets took maximum points over Easter.

Austin scored the winner in Burnley's 1-0 home victory against Brighton on Good Friday and he netted from the spot at the Keepmoat Stadium this afternoon after Danny Ings had been fouled in the box.

Josh McQuoid had put the Clarets ahead with a half volley from 25 yards in the 36th minute, but Doncaster levelled 11 minutes after the interval when Chris Brown headed home.

Burnley: Lee Grant, Kieran Trippier, Michael Duff, David Edgar, Ross Wallace, Josh McQuoid, Dean Marney, Chris McCann, Junior Stanislas (Shay McCartan 89), Danny Ings, Charlie Austin. Subs not used: Brian Jensen, Daniel Laffery, Cameron Howieson, Steven Hewitt.

Good result today for the clarets in what was not the best game to watch but clarets fan's can be happy with another away win, The thing that has let us down in recent times is our home form, I was glad to see grant answering his critics today for the second game this easter he pulled off two very good saves, lets hope our keeper has finally found some good form. although it is to late for a playoff place we have paid our money and expect the team to give 100% till the last kick of the season

up the clarets.

Great result pity all the burnley fans are pre-occupied on rovers topics! Why aren't they on here congratulating eddie Howe and the boys?

Probably because most Burnley fans didn't even know the Clarets were playing yesterday! Such is the lack of interest and meaningless existence in mid-table Championship that most Dingles have given up on their own club achieving anything worthwhile and instead spend their time clutching desperately to the possibility that their bigger and better neighbours might be ending their 11 years at the top table. Never mind that the Dingles only managed one, yes one, season at the top table in the past 35 years, the Dingles still think they can mock Rovers! Clueless they are I tell you.
