THE FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor resulted in a win for the visitors, and a place in the final.

After a goalless first half, Hugo Fernandez broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, giving Rovers a 2-0 lead on aggregate.

Osayamen Osawe's initial shot was blocked by Alex Coleman, but the ball ran free for winger Fernandez, who fired a low shot across goalkeeper Joshua Cook into the bottom right corner.

Ryan Edwards doubled their lead on the night three minutes later, straight from a long range free kick that, making it almost an impossible task for the hard-working home side.

But Burnley refused to give up, and were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute, after Adam Henley handled Luke Conlan's left-wing cross.

Blackburn goalkeeper Matthew Urwin was booked for knocking the ball off the spot as Steven Hewitt waited to take it. But the midfielder refused to be put off and finished well for a hard-earned consolation.

Rovers will meet the winners of Manchester United v Chelsea in a two-legged final.
