I bet you are a shirter, living in lala land... ...And before you start dreaming about the 2009 pub incident at Cherry Tree, there was 80+ Rovers inside that pub my inbred friend...Rovers lads knew you were coming, due to a phone call, however you c*nts decided to start chanting when you arrived to alert the OB. If you c*nts had thought better and not said owt then maybe something interesting could of happened. Only about 30 rovers ran out of the pub and the rest got trapped in. There were another 50 in the pub trying to get out. You would of got smashed. As for the Youth game at Ewood Park, B*rnley Sucking Squad are a bunch of f*cking muppets the lot of them..so much for "turning out in force" - even though it was a Youth game - the Dingle's turn out was pathetic... Outplayed, outsang and outfought yet again..34 years. Remember when about 20 Rovers ambused a train with Burnley lads on along with other women and children (who were not targeted) back in '88. Also some Dingles seem to forget 150 Blackburn Youth travelled to B*rnley - out of the way - on a night out. The Sucking Squad knew about it - 'Cats Whiskers' - Youth were soon wrapped up by O.B All these mouthy Dingles who are probabley all shirters just READ THE TRUTH AND STOP DREAMING. Andy Porters got 5 more years, now he's getting bummed by queers, five more years without parole, now he's got a sore a**hole. You can make up all your DESPERATE stories about "Easter 1983 and all that" but the fact is, B*rnley have rarely played Rovers since AND NOT MANY TIMES SINCE '66 and that is the main reason you dislike us - you've never really had the chance the set the record straight FOR ALL THE TW*TTINGS YOU'VE HAD FROM BLACKBURN. The Blackburn Burnley rivalry is different. Some people from Blackburn who couldn't give a toss about football, who hate football... also don't like Burnley. They would never set foot in the place. Its a rivalry between the towns as well as the supporters of the teams. However, that said, I feel that the over policing is too much. Memories of the 70's and B*rnley hype from the 80's still lingers on. But as you lot like looking back....Boxing Day 1977, B*rnely v Rovers, Turd Moor: Gates shut at 1.30pm. The gatemen and police on the outside did not look to keen because there were a lot of angry Rovers fans left outside to deal with. On Rovers half of Longside: 6 - 7,000 Rovers fans. Cricket Field stand - 5,500 Rovers fans. Open End errupted when Rovers scored 4,000+ Rovers fans? Bob Lord Stand 250 Rovers fans? Estimates of Rovers Away following that day vary from 11k - 15k. Rovers fans where sprinkled all over Turd Moor. Given the Cricket Field stand was all ticket, that left 1.5 hours of Rovers fans on Boxing Day arriving and heading for the Burnley home section's - I think it was more than a few pockets that went up when Rovers scored, we were all over you like a f*cking rash. The police then made a barrier between the open end and the home side of the Longside. Rovers were in the top two at the time. The game itself was played out in an electric atmosphere created by the Away support with Rovers building up a 0-3 lead in the first half which could have been 0-4 but for a brilliant save by Stevenson. B*rnley then forced their way back with goals by Noble and Ingham (?) leaving Rovers clinging on for a win - in 7 minutes of injury time. Outside the ground all hell broke loose with disturbances, running fights, police dogs. Rovers scattered out in packs all over the B*rnley centre and on the main roads out of town back to Accrington and Blackburn. There were some serious disturbances caused by inadequate policing of an admittedly massive Rovers Away following. For the return fixture, B*rnley did not bring that many to Ewood Park - 5k perhaps. There were disturbances in Blackburn town centre but more seriously after the game as a big Burnley contingent travelling by train were confronted by a Blackburn End/Riverside mob on the way back to Mill Hill. Loads of arrests, out of control yapping police dogs, B*rnley got a kicking. In the late 1960's to mid 1970's Ewood Park had a bad reupation for violence. B*rnley got hammered home and away. The Rovers lads could take most grounds and most crews. Millwall got battered in '77 at Ewood Park and admit it in an F-Troop documentary that can be seen on You Tube. For a B*rnley ''friendly'' in the early 70's, Rovers lads went in one's and two's into the middle of the B*rnley fans in the Darwen End before the start of the game, maybe 30 then joined together as soon as the whistle went, they didnt half give the B*rnley fans a shock and a bit of a pasting. One of the Rovers fans was arrested by a Police WOMAN (made the front page of the LET) and the police just escorted Rovers out and towards the Blackburn End. 300 Youth ran B*nley in B*rnley in '83. Colin Hendry when he moved to Man City got torrid abuse at Turd Moor but score the winning goal and ran past the B*rnley fans with a fisted salute. Rovers lad's ambushing a train full of B*rnley in '88, I was in the Blackburn End that day, it was common knowledge a train full of B*rnley coming back from Bolton was going to wacked. Simon Garner got even worse treatment when at Turd Moor with WBA but scored the winning goal, he lifted his WBA shirt to kiss it revealing a Rovers shirt underneath. Rovers Fly-Over in 1990 (enough said). I've covered the 1970 and 1980's and brought history up to date. B*rnley lack class. You stood to an ovation for a dirty tackle near the end. Really p*sses me off when fans applaud cheating and dirty play. Man Yoo fans do it all the time. It's a vile trend. B*rnley have never had class. Some Rovers played played at Turd Moor in the 1960's to raise money for a B*rnley player who's career had been cut short but were booed. No class. Rovers prevented B*rnley from winning the double in 1960 - that's were your bitterness originally stemmed from. And for your trouble, you got battered home and away for two decades, the clubs then moved in different directions and all you've got is the myth - and it is a myth - of Ewood Park, Easter 1983. Look at the stat's, follow the links, by my calculations, in 144 years B*rnley have only averaged bigger crowds in 12. Blackburn Rovers FC: http://www.european- football-statistics. co.uk/attnclub/blar. htm B*rnley FC http://www.european- football-statistics. co.uk/attnclub/burn. htm B*rnley measure their success by Rovers lack of it.... it's sad as f*ck.
I see your user name is Melanie. Bearing this in mind does this imply you are a member of what is supposed to be "The Fairer Sex"?

I ask because of your implied language which is appalling and totally unnecessary. I presume from the way you have had the need to insert this implied bad language, that your every day spoken work is a continuous utterly vile diatribe.

I hope for the sake of future football fans you have not been blessed with offspring, because heaven forbid if you have and you are their role model. Now crawl back to whichever hole you have sprung from and let genuine supporters of the game have their say with decent banter.
for people like you its called passion ,truth and honour
something we have come accustomed to over the years ,the holes your talking about are the ones you used to use as soon as you knew the youth was on its way ."

FULL-TIME: Burnley 1, Blackburn Rovers 2 (1-3 on agg)

THE FA Youth Cup semi-final second leg between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor resulted in a win for the visitors, and a place in the final.

After a goalless first half, Hugo Fernandez broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, giving Rovers a 2-0 lead on aggregate.

Osayamen Osawe's initial shot was blocked by Alex Coleman, but the ball ran free for winger Fernandez, who fired a low shot across goalkeeper Joshua Cook into the bottom right corner.

Ryan Edwards doubled their lead on the night three minutes later, straight from a long range free kick that, making it almost an impossible task for the hard-working home side.

But Burnley refused to give up, and were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute, after Adam Henley handled Luke Conlan's left-wing cross.

Blackburn goalkeeper Matthew Urwin was booked for knocking the ball off the spot as Steven Hewitt waited to take it. But the midfielder refused to be put off and finished well for a hard-earned consolation.

Rovers will meet the winners of Manchester United v Chelsea in a two-legged final.
