Clarets defender Long joins Rochdale on loan.
BURNLEY defender Kevin Long has joined League One side Rochdale on loan.
Long has joined the Spotland club on an initial month's loan with a view to a longer stay.
The move re-unites Long with former Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman following three previous loan spells under Coleman at the Crown Ground.
The 21-year-old Irishman spent the first five months of this season with Stanley, making 26 appearances before returning to Turf Moor at the start of January.
Burnley boss Eddie Howe was keen to gauge the central defender's progress and watched him feature in the Clarets’ Reserve-team win over Preston last week.
And he is now happy for Long to continue his development in League One with Coleman's new side.

On the subject of Samba. I see in another rag that he's devaluing himself from saying he's not a 15m player more like a 7m player. We all know that if someone came long with 10m he'd be off quick smart. I think there is still a 7m offer on the table and he's just giving Venkys a nudge. I also think that as a professional he should of kept his mouth shut and if nothing came up in this window then give 100% for the person who is paying his wages not blab and end up in the reserves. Perhaps now he has blabbed how he might do a Tevez and go back to the Congo and play golf on no wages until his agent can secure another berth?

Guess what..? That nice Mr Kilby is close to finalising my triumphant return the Turf Moor! My claret Chicomaniacs will be dancing in the aisles once more!
My only worry about the whole thing is howcome that nice Mr Kilby has to superglue ginger pubes onto his head? It's somewhat off putting...
Speaking of which, that nice Mr Kilby introduced me to Eddie Howe last week. Seemed like a nice chap, but he offered to give me something called an 'around the world'...I don't know what he meant by it....can any of my claret SUPERFANS help me out? Do I need my passport?

Remember "scroat packs" are only available in blackburn and can be made into a paste to feed what we at venkys call "scroatkids" for them unfortunate times when your giro has been spent on cheap lager and gas lighter fuel
I have ventured onto the dark side many times to buy "scroat pack" chicken for my dog recently, i can now tell you my pooch loves the stuff, His teeth are whiter than white and as strong as tiger teeth.
