CLARETS winger Josh Ginnelly has joined National League side Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has spent the first half of the campaign with League Two new-boys Lincoln City, where he made 18 appearances and scored three goals.

But the former Shrewsbury Town youngster has found opportunities with the Imps limited recently, leading to Burnley recalling him and finalising a loan with Tranmere.

“I’m really pleased to add Josh to the group," Rovers boss Micky Mellon said.

“He is a talented young player and someone I know well having working with him previously, so I’m excited about working with him again here at Tranmere.

“I’d like to thank Sean Dyche and Burnley for allowing him to join us.”
