THERE was a moment of light relief during Burnley's 1-1 draw with West Ham at Turf Moor when Manuel Lanzini went down for the Hammers under a challenge from...Sean Dyche.

The Argentine playmaker was trying to make ground down the left for the visitors in the second half when his momentum took him out of play and straight into Dyche.

Lanzini hit the deck after the coming together, while the Clarets won possession back, but Dyche was quick to pick the midfielder up.

Dyche joked that he'd stood his ground when Lanzini came hurtling towards him, before explaining what actually happened.

"You see how strong my core was? How I stood my ground? Then give him that look?," Dyche laughed.

"I didn’t actually, I tried to get out of the way, but my footwork was never that great.

"There’s no way I could get out of the way, these players are are quick, trust me.

"I thought ‘what am I going to do here?’, then did a bad dance to get out of the way.

"There was certainly no malice, it was a complete accident and he’s fine about it, I saw him after the game."
