BURNLEY Under-18s have booked their place in the Generali Cee Cup final after a 4-1 penalty shootout win over Turkish outfit Altinordu.

Danny Cadamarteri's side progressed as winners of their group after claiming two victories last week and they now have a chance to lift the trophy in the 12-team tournament on Wednesday after this last four success.

The Clarets were ahead inside 10 minutes in Prague, Oliver Younger heading a free-kick back across goal for striker Michael Fowler to tap home from close range for his second goal of the tournament.

Altinordu were growing into the game though and they levelled on 68 minutes when Berkay Gormez curled in a free-kick from the narrowest of angles.

With the scores tied after 90 minutes the game went straight to penalties and Dylon Allan-Meredith, Jordan Cropper, Terry Mupariwa and Kawzinkosi Mpofu all netted for Burnley.

The Turkish side scored with their first penalty but Adam Bruce saved the second and the third effort hit the post, giving Mpofu the chance to win it for the Clarets.

Burnley will find out who they face in Wednesday's final later this afternoon when Everton play FK Sarajevo.
