SEAN Dyche is pleased to have three new arrivals at Turf Moor early in pre-season and said there was 'another couple of situations that may arise' as he targets more additions.

Charlie Taylor, Jonathan Walters and Jack Cork have all arrived at Burnley within the past week, but Dyche is keen to bring more in as he looks to strengthen his squad.

Taylor and Walters both signed in time to fly out to Ireland on Monday for a training camp 15 miles outside Dublin, while £8million addition Cork linked up with the squad on Tuesday evening.

Dyche was delighted to have the new boys in in time for this week's training camp, and said further additions may not be too far away.

"That side of things is getting more difficult," the Clarets chief said of brining players in early.

"The timing has been important in that clubs want to change things themselves and we’ve managed to use that wisely.

"There’s another couple of situations that may arise so the earlier the better ideally but it’s not always the ideal situation.

"We’re still carrying quite light numbers and I think we need more players in, which we’re actively looking at at the moment, but we don’t want too many, we like that idea of having a real tight squad and that real competition for places in all areas."
