SEAN Dyche has been shortlisted for the Barclays Premier League manager of the season award.

The Burnley boss is one of six managers who have made the shortlist for the award, which will be voted for by the public.

He faces competition from Chelsea's title-winning manager Antonio Conte, Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino, Bournemouth's Eddie Howe, Tony Pulis of West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City's Paul Clement.

Public voting will close on midnight on Wednesday (May 17) with a panel of experts then sitting the following day to ratify a decision.

The winner will be announced at the League Managers' Association annual dinner on Monday, May 22.

Dyche, who took charge of his 200th league game at Bournemouth on Saturday, makes the shortlist have steered Burnley to safety this season and the Clarets sit on 40 points ahead of their final game of the campaign, against West Ham at Turf Moor on Sunday.

Survival means Burnley will compete in back-to-back top flight seasons for the first time since the mid-1970s.
