SEAN Dyche insists Burnley aren't relying on favours from others as they bid to secure their own Premier League future over the next month.

The Clarets looked to be cruising to safety before a run of one win in 11 league games has seen the gap to the bottom three cut to five points.

They remain well in control of their own destiny though and one more win from their final four games would leave Swansea City and Hull needing to win three of their final four games to overhaul Dyche's side.

And the Burnley boss said his side are planning on doing the business themselves instead of relying on the Swans and the Tigers failing to pick up enough points over the next four weeks.

The battle for survival resumes this weekend, with Hull at Southampton at 3pm on Saturday, before Burnley travel to Crystal Palace for the Saturday evening game (5.30pm) and Swansea take on Manchester United at Old Trafford at midday on Sunday.

"There is still work to be done regardless, I’ve never been through an easy season in at any end of the league," said Dyche.

"You can’t expect to rely on others and we don’t expect to rely on others. We know we’ve got four big games coming up and we want to take on the challenge of all four."

Dyche believes Burnley will benefit from the fact they are used to be under pressure at the business end of the season.

They've twice come through the pressure cooker of a Championship promotion battle and held their nerve last season when they played after Middlesbrough and Brighton on a couple of weekends as the campaign drew to a close.

"I feel we’ve got to do what we’ve got to do," said Dyche. "We’ve been at both ends of the market. We’ve been down this road two years ago, we’ve been at the top of the Championship twice.

"Nobody gives you anything. At the top of the Championship last year we were often playing third game of a weekend when the other teams had won. We just get on with it. Whatever is put in front of us we will take it on."
