Paul Robinson 5
Made one good first half save from Olsson but beaten at his near post by the same man for the equaliser.
Matt Lowton 6
Unusually lacked support in defensive duties and winner came from his side, but was solid for the most part.
Michael Keane 6
An aerial bombardment at times from Swansea. Gave Llorente too much space to head in the opening goal.
Ben Mee 7
Made two clearances off the line, read Sigurdsson’s effort really well. Was clearly pushed for the winning goal.
Stephen Ward 7
Had a really difficult first 15 minutes against Narsingsh but recovered really well and the Swans man was replaced in the second half.
George Boyd 4
Can usually be relied on defensively but struggled to contain Olsson’s surges forward all afternoon, which eventually resulted in a goal.
Joey Barton 6
Below his usual standards in what was a difficult game for the midfield. Not the way he dreamt it if it is the end.
Jeff Hendrick 5
Midfield struggled to get a grip on the game and Hendrick was beaten by Fer for the first goal.
Robbie Brady 5
His corner’s early on caused trouble but in open play he was rarely involved in the action.
Sam Vokes 6
Involved in both goals, flick-on for second was good, but contribution was minimal aside from that.
Andre Gray 8 (Man of the match)
Dispatched his penalty confidently and went down the middle once again, while his control, turn and finish for the second goal was excellent. He was the only real threat posed to Swansea all afternoon.
