BURNLEY have signed teenage striker Harry Limb from non-league Wisbech Town.
The 17-year-old has been on trial with the Clarets and scored for the development squad in a friendly.
He has signed an 18-month deal and will link up with Michael Jolley's development squad ahead of Monday's Premier League Cup clash with Sunderland at Stockport's Edgeley Park.
Limb has been playing in the United Counties League Premier Division this season, scoring 22 goals in 40 games, of which 28 have been starts.
Wisbech boss Dick Creasey said: “Since joining us at the start of the season, his record speaks for itself but on top of that he's a great young boy who has felt at home here and everybody must take a certain amount of pride in what he has achieved.
"Burnley were not the only club wanting his signature and there were a few other league clubs ready to offer him a contract but Harry chose Burnley."
The Clarets will play a friendly at the Elgoods Fenland Stadium this July as part of the deal.
