STEVEN Defour will miss Burnley's trip to Watford on Saturday with a hamstring injury, but Sean Dyche has confirmed Robbie Brady and Ashley Westwood are both in line for debuts at Vicarage Road.

Defour limped off in the first half of Tuesday's win against Leicester City and Dyche has confirmed he is set to be out for at least a couple of weeks.

"Steven has got a hamstring, he won’t be fit for this weekend," Dyche said. "We’ll wait and see how long, but it won’t be days, it could be beyond a couple of weeks but we’ll wait and see."

Brady and Westwood watched the victory over the Foxes from the stands after signing on deadline day, but they could be involved on Saturday.

"They’ve both been active so they’ve got general fitness," Dyche said of his new boys. "For me it’s about each manager having a style they fit into, it's adapting to the style of your team, so they’ll have to do that, but the general fitness is pretty good."

Dyche praised the work of his recruitment team in securing the deals for Brady and Westwood, and said he felt they would be good fits at Turf Moor.

"So far our recruitment has been good," the Clarets chief said. "It’s very difficult to recruit, you’ve got to find players that fit the club, there’s a certain group who would fit us with the finance, but also the quality to make sure we’re always improving and moving it forward and putting a challenge on the other players.

"We try and do our background for the types that they are the fact they will fit into what we do as a club and a team.

"I think they’ll enjoy their time here."
