Burnley made a move for Hull City left-back Robertson yesterday.

The Clarets have told Hull they are prepared to pay £10million for the 22-year-old, and while that offer is understood to be acceptable to the Tigers, they are keen to get cover in at left-back before sanctioning any deal.

Burnley also remain in pole position to sign Norwich City wide man Brady, with the Canaries set to bring in Ajax left-back Mitchell Dijks on loan.

Asked directly about a bid for Robertson, Dyche said: “There’s a lot of players that we’re interested in, we’ll wait and see if we get any of them over the line.”

He added: “There’s a couple of situations which we hope will open up and get done but there’s no guarantees of course.”

The move for Robertson follows Burnley’s failed bid for his Hull teammate Robert Snodgrass.

The Clarets had a bid accepted for the Scotland winger, but he opted for a move to West Ham United instead with Burnley now turning their attentions to Brady to strengthen in midfield.

Dyche also played down renewed speculation linking Turf centre back Michael Keane with a move away, as Everton boss Ronald Koeman confirmed he was interested in the 24-year-old central defender.

Burnley turned down a £15million bid in the summer for Keane from tonight’s opponents Leicester City, and yesterday Dyche said: “We’re a club who are looking to add players who we think can take it forward, not get rid of them.”

But Toffees’ chief Koeman added fuel to the fire when he spoke of Goodison Park interest in Keane, although he did say they may have to wait until the summer.

“Keane is one of the players on the list, like some of the defenders in that position. But I think he’s on more lists in different teams,” the Dutchman said.

“We know what we want but we don’t sign players just to bring numbers in the squad.

“If we can’t sign players to bring quality to the team, then we wait until the summer.”

Four players left Turf Moor on loan yesterday, with Josh Ginnelly heading to Lincoln City, George Green to Salford City, Alex Whitmore to Morecambe and striker Chris Long to Bolton.

Former Everton youngster Long, 21, spent the first half of the campaign with Fleetwood Town before heading to the Macron Stadium.

“It’s important that he continues his development playing and we didn’t think that he’d get the game time here so it was essential for him,” said Dyche.

Teenager striker Dan Agyei could also yet go out on loan, depending on if Dyche brings in a fourth striker today.

“We’re still looking, there are a couple of options available possibly, and we’ve got our own in-house with Dan Agyei,” said the Clarets chief.

“We’ve kept him here on the possible proviso that he stays with us.”

Dyche has switched before two up front and a sole striker this season, which could make the addition of a fourth frontman less of an issue.

“Four if you’re constantly a 4-4-2 can be as important as front pairings if you like but with us being more flexible this year with the 4-5-1 as well you can adapt that differently, even with Barnesy going out wide which he’s done before,” said Dyche.

“He can play like a half-left of a three. We’re pretty flexible with our thinking with those three and I’ve enjoyed watching them play.”
