Nick Pope 7

Hardly touched the ball for 92 minutes but stayed alert to make a smart save from Larsson’s free-kick in the final minute of injury time.

Tendayi Darikwa 7

Made some good ground going forward but distribution was poor until his fine cross from which Vokes opened the scoring.

Michael Keane 7

Overshadowed by his central defensive partner for a change. Never troubled at the back as he captained the side again.

James Tarkowski 8

A ready-made replacement for Keane if he departs in the summer. A Rolls-Royce of a centre half. Reads the game well and showed some excellent touches and control, while also passing the ball well. Can’t be far off selection in the league.

Jon Flanagan 7

Lancashire Telegraph:

Probably his best game for Burnley. Good block on Januzaj in the first half. Won a free-kick with strong run in the second half.

George Boyd 8

Must have covered some distance in an all-action display. Used the ball well and was denied by Mannone on three occasions.

Joey Barton 7

Denied by Mannone in the first half. Linked up well with Vokes and almost broke through in the second.

Steven Defour 7

Another 90 minutes under his belt. Getting fitter by the week. Showed some class with clever passes to create chances for Boyd and Vokes.

Michael Kightly 6 A rare chance to impress from the start but he struggled to take it, aside from one neat flick to Defour in the second half.

Jeff Hendrick 7

Returned to his more advanced role. Tested Mannone early on and played in Boyd for an early chance as well.

Sam Vokes 8

Lancashire Telegraph:

Has to impress when given the chance with Barnes and Gray in form and did just that. Great movement and header for the opening goal.

Subs: Andre Gray for Kightly (76) Aiden O’Neill for Boyd (90)

Subs not used: Paul Robinson, Ben Mee, Matt Lowton, Stephen Ward, Brad Jackson
