MATT Lowton wants Burnley to show Southampton a different side to the Clarets as they welcome the Saints to Turf Moor tomorrow (3pm).

Burnley were beaten 3-1 at St Mary’s earlier in the season in a disappointing performance.

But the Clarets’ home form has been markedly different to their away form and Lowton expects an improved showing from Sean Dyche’s side.

“We’ve played them once already, we didn’t give a good account of ourselves, but I’m sure they’ll know as much as we do that we’re a different team at home and I’m sure they’re not looking forward to coming to Turf Moor,” he said.

“It was a 15 minute period whey they took the game away from us. In the early part of the season away from home we weren’t doing what we normally do. In the last few away games we’ve got back to more what we do.”

Southampton travel north after winning the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final against Liverpool on Wednesday night and Lowton hopes the Clarets can take advantage if any tiredness creeps in.

Lowton added: “We’ll hope it works in our favour but we won’t be reliant on that. We’ll build up to the game as any other and go out there and try and run all over them and get in their faces like we do at home.

“We picked up two wins at home over Christmas and that has been key for us. Our home form has been our strongest point so it was important we kept that going.

“We were disappointed to come away without anything at Manchester City after they went down to 10 men. We didn’t show up for the first 15 or 20 minutes of the second half. We gave it a go, got a goal back but didn’t quite do enough.”
