BURNLEY don’t intend to let any Premier League clubs enjoy their visit to Turf Moor this season, with defender Michael Keane insisting Arsenal will know they’ve been in a game come Sunday evening.

The visit of the Gunners’ will be the Clarets fifth home league game of the season, and only opening-day visitors Swansea have left with maximum points.

Since then Liverpool and Watford have both been beaten 2-0, while Hull City required a 95th minute equaliser to salvage a point.

So far all Burnley’s goals and points have come on home ground, although they have only played Chelsea and Leicester City away, and while Keane has been impressed with the form of Arsene Wenger’s side, he is confident of another strong showing in front of the Turf faithful on Sunday.

“Arsenal have been playing really well themselves and had a great result at the weekend, it will be tough just like Liverpool was but on our day if we’re organised and we play well then we can frustrate teams and cause them a lot of problems,” said the 23-year-old.

“It (Turf Moor) became a fortress for us last year and we’ve kicked on, apart from Swansea on the opening day, which was disappointing.

“We feel like the fans really get behind us here and we feel that anyone who comes here won’t enjoy it.”

Having scored five times in 44 Championship fixtures last season, Keane broke his Premier League duck in the win over Watford in his 27th top flight appearance.

He got the second against the Hornets, after Jeff Hendrick had opened the scoring, and all five of the Clarets’ goals this season have now been scored by different players.

Andre Gray and Sam Vokes opened their own Premier League accounts in the win over Liverpool, while Steven Defour did likewise in the draw with Hull.

And Keane believes sharing the goals out this term will be crucial to Burnley’s chances of survival.

“I think it’s big, you can’t rely on one or two players, everyone has to chip in,” he said.

“We’ve got goals coming from everywhere now, whether it’s strikers, midfielders or defenders, that can only help us going forward.”

Monday night’s win came just three days after Andre Gray had been handed a four-match ban for his historic homophobic social media posts.

While Sean Dyche has spoken of his disappointment at the severity of punishment, Keane is determined to get on with the football, and he believes the Clarets now have a squad capable of dealing with the absence of last season’s top scorer, and he reserved special praise for summer signing Defour.

“It’s difficult, it’s not for me to say, what’s happened has happened and we have to get on with it,” Keane said of Gray’s ban.

“We’ve got a great squad and I think the manager has added really well this summer, we showed tonight how good the squad is and we’ve got to carry on now.”

On Defour, he added: “He’s been brilliant, you can see in training the technical ability he’s got and the calmness he brings to our midfield, so hopefully he can carry on like that.”
