BURNLEY manager Sean Dyche has confirmed that the club are close to completing a season-long loan swoop for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.
The Clarets boss was put on the spot following the 3-0 Premier League defeat at Stamford Bridge on whether a deal for the 22-year-old forward was on the cards before tyhe transfer windows closes on Wednesdsay.
He said: “Patrick is close. It’s just a few I’s getting dotted and t’s getting crossed.
“There are a number of other things closer too, but we still have to get them over the line, so we’ll wait and see.”
Bamford, who has won two England caps at Under-21 level, spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace and Norwich and has also been farmed out to Middlesbrough and Derby by his parent club in the past.
