CHRIS Long makes his first start for Burnley in the absence of striker Sam Vokes.
The summer signing has had a patient wait behind former Brentford team-mate Andre Gray, Vokes and Rouwen Hennings so far, but replaces Hennings in the line-up at Cardiff City this afternoon.
Long’s inclusion is the only change to the side that drew 1-1 at home to Brighton last weekend, and is the first time he has started alongside Gray, even during their time together with the Bees last season.
Cardiff hand a debut to striker Tony Watt, who completed a loan move from Championship rivals Charlton Athletic this week.
Clarets keeper and captain Tom Heaton makes his 102nd consecutive league appearance against his former club.
Vokes remains sidelined with a groin injury.
