THE point at Wolves kept the unbeaten run going, which is the most important thing, but I think if we want to be targeting top two we should be winning there.

Games at Brighton and Hull and other sides who are going for promotion are going to be difficult. Matches away to Wolves and Forest we should aim to be winning, I think it’s points dropped in both of them. They are both good sides but we want to be going up automatically.

But like I say, keeping the unbeaten run going was the next best thing and if we keep winning at home then we will put ourselves in a good position.

It was another clean sheet as well and the defence has been excellent so far. It’s a back four and a goalkeeper who are rock solid and give nothing away, you know you’ve always got a real chance of winning games if they keep it right like they have been doing.

I would like to see a bit more from the midfield and George Boyd. He was player of the year last season but he hasn’t really hit that level so far this season.

There is no doubt he is good enough but he looks to be lacking confidence, hopefully he can get that back and find his form.

We’re now over a third of the way through the season and I think we’re in a solid position.

Considering we lost Danny Ings and Kieran Trippier, two of the stars of the last promotion season and important members of this team, as well as the captain in Jason Shackell, I think we’re doing really well.

The players Sean has brought in have hit the ground running. We know what Andre [Gray] has done but Joey [Barton] has added experience and quality and I think Tendayi Darikwa has the potential to be another Kieran Trippier, he has things to improve but he has started well.

They’ve shrugged off any possibility of a relegation hangover, but I didn’t expect anything less. They have an excellent defensive set-up through Dyche. If that remains as solid as it has done then there is plenty to build on.
