THE win over Rotherham was a great way to head into the international break and it was great to see both strikers on the scoresheet.

The burgeoning partnership between Sam Vokes and Andre Gray is looking very promising.

It is a big-man-small-man partnership, but although he is very quick Andre is also very strong, he can hold the ball but also play on the shoulder, and his goal at Rotherham was all about his pace.

With two strikers linking up well and scoring goals you shouldn’t be far away at the end of the season, unless you have an absolute nightmare at the back.

It’s great to see Sam coming back to form as well, he has had a really difficult time with his injury but he is getting back to his best now.

He is away with Wales this week and hopefully they can get the job done and qualify and Sam will come back buzzing, it will be a brilliant achievement for him.

I’m sure it will be great for Tom Heaton, too. England have already qualified but Tom can only gain from being with the national team.

Training with those sort of players will be great for him, he will come back full of confidence from being in that environment.

It’s nice to see Danny Ings in the squad as well, Burnley can take an awful lot of credit for his career development.

I think it shows that players usually have more of a look in at a big club, he could easily have got in the squad last year.

Hopefully he will make his debut in these two games, Burnley are still waiting for the tribunal so I’m sure the board will be hoping he scores a hat-trick and his transfer value goes through the roof!

The great thing for Burnley is they can still play better but they are getting results at this stage of the season.

There has been a few links with Sean Dyche and Sunderland this week. For me it is absolutely vital Burnley hold on to him.

We have had a great couple of years with him and he is undoubtedly the man who can get Burnley promoted again.

Burnley are a team on the up, I’d like to think we might be passing Sunderland in the summer. Going there will be a risk, good managers have struggled there so there is clearly something not right.

Sean is at a good environment here and he is at a club that loves him.
