Just how important is it for Burnley to keep hold of Sean Dyche amidst rumours inking the Clarets chief with the Sunderland job?
Matt Riggs
I THINK it’s imperative that the board does all it can to keep hold of Sean Dyche.
The players have really bought into his way of doing things so if he was to go, it could really unsettle us.
Whilst a job in the highest division and the increase in wage and transfer budget that would bring might seem attractive, the club itself (Sunderland) isn’t that attractive.
Hopefully the high profile signings of Gray and Barton are signs that the board will continue to back him if necessary.

IT is massive to keep hold of Dyche.
From a squad morale point of view him leaving will have the same effect as Owen Coyle did five years ago.
This is his team and key players are here because they want to work for Dyche.
From a disruption point of view as well it takes time for a new manager to come in and get a team playing how he wants. We are at the stage where the squad is starting to gel properly and him leaving will throw a massive spanner in the works.
