What has been the best bit of business done by Burnley this summer?

Keith Tempest

I THINK the best bit of business this summer was the departure of Lee Hoos. His failure to get the club and the fans on the same hymn sheet, proved detrimental under his tenure and hopefully now David Baldwin can continue the good work he has started.

We still don’t seem to have a fluid shape on matchday, but the signings seem to have impressed most fans and hopefully this new blood, some still not seen, will kick start a promotion push.

All in all, business looks good.

WE have needed a central midfielder for a couple of seasons who would be able to put himself about and not take any prisoners.

I think the signing of Joey Barton fills this void and should be an excellent addition to our team.

It’s a new start with a new club for Joey so onwards and upwards.

It was a surprise signing, but at least we acted quickly after the Lansbury deal collapsed through no fault of our own.
